Feral Fabric is a platform for highlighting the history of radical textile production in art, activism, and countercultural movements. We bring forward ideas, conversations, workshops, and classes that combine our interests in textiles, contemporary art, and personal and cultural transformation.
Paulina Berczynski was born in 1976 in Lodz, Poland and is based in the SF Bay Area. Her practice is focused on textiles, print-making and relational art forms and seeks to provide a critical perspective on socially-normative and capitalist structures. Paulina has given interactive workshops around textiles in Joshua Tree, California through High Desert Test Sites and JTLab and in Mendocino, California. She is deeply invested in cultivating empowerment and collectivity through experimentation and participation.
Born and raised in the state of Florida, Amanda Walters is an interdisciplinary artist, who writes, weaves, sews, and makes soft sculptures. Her work explores the strange and well manicured history of her home state, images of the tropics, and page 9 stories from the newspaper. She is based in Oakland, California.
